Who We Are
Horizons Architecture Systems ("HA Systems") operates the HA Learning Platform. We are incorporated in Mexico and serve users internationally, including within the European Economic Area. Our registered address is in Leon, Guanajuato, Mexico. Contact: info@horizonsarchitecture.ai.
What We Collect
We collect information you provide directly: name, email address, institutional affiliation, and profile data. Through your use of the platform we also collect: journal entries, reflections, assessment responses, agent conversations, uploaded artifacts, and usage analytics. Technical data includes IP address, browser type, device information, and access timestamps.
Legal Basis for Processing
Under GDPR, we process personal data based on: (a) your consent, (b) performance of a contract (provision of the educational service), (c) legitimate interests (platform improvement, security). Under Mexico's LFPDPPP, we process data based on your informed consent provided at registration.
How We Use Your Data
Your data is used to: provide and personalize the learning experience, generate AI-assisted analysis and guidance, track your development trajectory over time, communicate important updates about the service, and comply with legal obligations. AI features analyze your submissions to surface patterns and connections — this analysis serves your development and is not used for automated decision-making with legal effects.
International Data Transfers
Data may be transferred to servers outside Mexico and the EEA. For EU users, transfers are protected by Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) as approved by the European Commission. We ensure all transfers maintain an adequate level of data protection as required by GDPR Chapter V and LFPDPPP regulations.
Data Retention
We retain your data for the duration of your active enrollment plus 2 years for academic record purposes. Usage analytics are retained for 12 months. You may request earlier deletion at any time, subject to legitimate retention requirements. See our Data Retention Policy for detailed schedules by data category.
Your Rights
Under GDPR, you have the right to: access your data, rectify inaccuracies, request erasure, restrict processing, data portability, and object to processing. Under LFPDPPP, you have ARCO rights: Access, Rectification, Cancellation, and Opposition. To exercise any of these rights, contact info@horizonsarchitecture.ai. We will respond within 30 days (GDPR) or 20 business days (LFPDPPP).
Children's Privacy
The platform is designed for higher education students aged 16 and above. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16. If you believe a child under 16 has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately and we will take steps to delete such information.

Complaints
If you believe your data protection rights have been violated, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. For Mexican users, you may contact INAI (Instituto Nacional de Transparencia, Acceso a la Información y Protección de Datos Personales).
